LCI Melbourne aims to produce graduates who are job ready, with both the specific skills required to gain employment in their chosen area of design and the broader underpinning attributes required to develop their career over the long term.

This commitment is reflected in the structure of the Bachelor of Design Arts, which includes a series of Professional Studies units across the degree. The Professional Studies stream culminates in LCI Melbourne's Industry Placement Program, enabling students to gain on-the-job experience and build industry contacts as part of their studies.

The majority of our academic faculty are also practicing professionals with strong industry links. This ensures that our students are provided with the most up-to-date and relevant skills and knowledge to prepare them for their future career. Students seeking further career advice can arrange one-on-one meetings with their major study coordinator.

LCI Education Network Portfolios

The Portfolios is a social platform showcasing the achievements, know-how and creativity of students and graduates from LCI Melbourne and other member campuses in the LCI Education network. The platform provides students and graduates with the opportunity to exhibit their creations and CVs to the public as well as employers in search of new talent. Students and graduates registered with Portfolios also have access to exclusive job offers, internships and practical advice.

These Industry Advisory Panels ensure the course curriculum remains relevant and aligned with current and emerging industry practice.
